UConn’s Technology Incubation Program (TIP) has brought many ideas and start-up companies forward – idea to development and testing to fledgling companies. TIP is charged with accelerating the successful establishment and development of entrepreneurial companies. The program provides lab space (several sizes and with varying capabilities, like dry or wet) and office space. Your space and services from us can flex with your needs as they change.
TIP also provides an array of support resources and services through relationships with various university departments, schools and functions and with government and industry. The university becomes your intricate network of resources, and your incubator becomes your intellectual home. Many incubator tenants have progressed into larger spaces before eventually establishing themselves in other locations. Read what our clients have had to say about the TIP’s services: Testimonials
Incubators are located in Storrs, Farmington and Avery Point (Groton). Your goal – to commercialize your technologies – becomes our goal. Start-ups in our labs are pursuing new frontiers in nanotechnology, stem cell technology, bioscience, energy and many other disciplines. We provide mentoring, specialized equipment and instrumentation – supportive services necessary to technology development. In addition, TIP serves as an exchange point between you, the inventor or start-up, with those larger companies and funding mechanisms that can see and share the potential in your project.
